At the young age of 18 in 1978 I began working with sculptor Bill Lishman. Soon I was delving into many varied projects with an emphasis in metal sculpture. It was not long before I was left on my own and very quickly developed my own unique skills as well as my own way of doing things. After ghost sculpting for various artists, I started my own company – The Wooden Anvil.
I have collaborated on many pieces with my mentor Bill Lishman and his son Geordie Lishman.

When I am not working with metal, I am training endangered whooping cranes to fly behind my ultralight aircraft with Operation Migration.
