Forging Expression in Steel

Clients sometimes ask how a welded steel form can look alive. The answer is not a single technique — it is thousands of small decisions about angle, texture, proportion, and negative space.

I study anatomy, movement, and emotion the way a portrait painter studies a face. Then I translate those observations into metal: a subtle tilt of the head, the tension in a muscle, the curve of a wing mid-flight.

When someone says a photograph does not do the work justice, I take it as the highest compliment. The piece was meant to be encountered in person, where light and scale complete the story.
